It is the responsibility of every coach, official, volunteer, athlete and parent to read the policy, procedure and code of conduct relevant for their role.
Any breaches of conduct of the above may be subject to appropriate disciplinary action being taken against the individual by the Club and may be reported to the LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) and the UKA Safeguarding team.
All concerns must be reported.
Please report via the Safeguarding Form on the Reading Athletic Club website or directly to the the Club Welfare Officers- Bharti Dhir (07341442895) or Aaron Baker.
Alternatively, concerns can be reported directly to the UKA Safeguarding Team. Further details can be found in the Safeguarding Procedure.
Data Protection Statement
In addition, the club will handle personal data provided by members in accordance with the GDPR and will only be used by the club (including the General Council, coaches and team managers as required for the club to function as a sports club) and England Athletics. It will not be shared with any third parties without the member's express consent. Results, pictures and achievements may be published on the internet (address and contact details will NOT be published). When people become a member of, or renew thier membership with Reading Athletic Club it will automatically be registered with England Athletics. Reading Athletic Club will provide England Athletics with this personal data which they will use to enable members to access to an online portal (called myAthletics). England Athletics will contact members to invite them to sign into and update their MyAthletics portal (which, amongst other things, allows members to set and amend their privacy settings).
